Amateur Radio and electronics have been evolving for well over one hundred years, but in many ways has not changed at all. The basic principals and foundations of the radio hobby are just as valid today as they were in the days of the spark gap transmitter.  However, since that time we have learned to make much better use of the radio spectrum which we are so fortunate to have.
